About
Welcome to Dante's Italian Eatery, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Dallas at 208 N Market St #150. This cozy establishment has been delighting locals and visitors alike with its authentic Italian cuisine for years. Known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, Dante's offers a perfect backdrop for a relaxed meal, whether you're fueling up for a day in the city or winding down after work.
As you step inside, you may be charmed by its unpretentious décor, which reflects its commitment to authentic dining over superficial aesthetics. The friendly staff, many of whom have become like family to regulars, welcome you with a smile. It’s clear that good food and great service are at the heart of what Dante’s does. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated not just as a customer but as part of their culinary family.
The real star of Dante's Italian Eatery, however, is the food. With a menu that includes a delightful variety of pizzas, calzones, pasta, and sandwiches, every dish is crafted with fresh ingredients and care. Customers rave about the pizza, calling it some of the best in downtown Dallas. Whether you opt for a classic margherita or a more adventurous topping, each pizza reflects the rich traditions of Italian cuisine. Lawrence Mendoza says it best: "This little hole in the wall pizza joint has some of the best pizza downtown at a very reasonable price."
If you're in the mood for something else, their calzones and Stromboli are must-tries. Charity C couldn’t have said it better: "The calzones are so good! My coworkers got them Togo, and they were still good." These hand-held delights show just how versatile and satisfying Italian food can be.
For those who enjoy watching the culinary process unfold, you can even witness the magic behind the pizza-making, adding an interactive flair to your dining experience. As Jovita C discovered, there’s something special about seeing your meal prepared right before your eyes, and the smell of freshly baked pizza that fills the air is simply irresistible.
The community vibe extends beyond just the staff; it’s the patrons who create a sense of belonging. Andrew71888 eloquently points out that even those with dietary restrictions find joy at Dante's, proving it to be an inclusive space where everyone can find delicious options. Each visit feels personal, and you might even have the chance to shake hands with Dante himself, a testament to the establishment's family-friendly ethos.
In conclusion, Dante's Italian Eatery is more than just a place to eat; it's a beloved part of the community where flavor and friendship come together. Whether you're a Dallas local or just passing through, a meal at Dante’s is an experience you won't want to miss. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere, and leave with a satisfied palate and a smile.
“ This little hole in the wall pizza joint has been at their location as long as I can remember. They have some of the best pizza downtown at a very reasonable price. The dining area is very cozy and the staff is very friendly. If you are ... ”
“ The calzone's are so good! My coworkers got them Togo and they were still good. We will be returning. ”
“ This is by far the very best restaurant in Dallas and probably the best restaurant in Texas. The food here is always fresh and made on the spot. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed, great for dates. Staff are always friendly and eager to help. I can't adequately describe how awesome this place is. I make it a point to go out of my way just to sneak a taste of their pizza, salads, and calzones!! If you're within 50 miles, this is a don't miss opportunity. ”
“ I'm not a big fan of this area, usually try to get in the train asap. This time I was really hungry and most places I usually visit were already closed. I decided to give a try for Dante's place. It was pleasant surprise. It's very simple but cozy. They have wide variety of foods to choose: pizzas, pastas, sandwiches.. I tried Stromboli and it was really good. I've got mine straight from the oven, and all the foods they make themselves. You can even watch pizza creation process.. Customer service is good, especially the guy who s baking pizzas. I really enjoyed my dinner here and would definitely recommend others to visit this place. ”
“ Goodness, words can't express how much this small little Italian Diner benefits our community! Upon walking in for first timers, you are subjected to believe that the establishment is "run down" or "poor" but that's only what the eyes FOOL you into believing. This restaurant brings the fundamentals of a welcoming, customer service, satisfactory-met, environment. The variety of different foods you can consume here is incredibe. I am a Vegan, and with my dietary restriction, I am only permitted to eat a handful of things WHEN I eat out, however, this place has NEVER had problem serving me, therefore NO ONE should ever have a problem getting served phenomenal food here. You always see the same small crew working their butt's off to meet the demands of their customers, it's breathtaking! I strongly recommend this place to anyone who is off/near West End Square! If you are around the area, you have NOT had good food until you've stopped by and shook hands with Dante himself. He (and his crew) is simply the best! ”
“ Great little restaurant. Super quick and great prices! Got two strombolis two salads and 2 drinks for 20 bucks. Also the staff were super friendly! Would definitely recommend! ”
“ I normally don't write reviews, but these guys deserve it. I've been here a couple of separate times. With each time that I visit this place, they always provide the same enthusiastic hospitality that they do with every guest. The food is always delicious and it a sense that you can make yourself at home here. To Italian food lovers, this is "must eat here" place in Dallas. ”
“ Was looking for some good Italian food in Dallas. Decided to try Dante's, and was not disappointed. The service is prompt and kind, the prices are agreeable, and the food is good and flavorful. They have a wide range of options in pasta and pizza. I highly recommend the Stromboli and the spaghetti and meatballs! Run with confidence my friends; this restaurant is a far cry from its namesake's inferno! ”
